Village of Ponderosa

Clockwork has teamed with Ladco Development on a new project in Iowa. The Village of Ponderosa is a new real estate development in West Des Moines, Iowa. It was inspired by New Urbanism communities like Celebration, FL. It embraces the concept of smart growth and replaces vehicle-oriented suburban living with proximity and convenience, so every home is within walking distance of parks, plazas, offices and shops.
Ponderosa was originally a 9-hole public golf course. The 95 acre site has been redeveloped with several styles of homes, professional office space, retail stores and restaurants. There will be over 500 residential units with 13 styles of homes, ranging from urban style lofts to single family houses. All the homes are connected by pedestrian friendly paths and are within walking distance of the lakefront commercial center. The commercial center will have over 220,000 square feet of professional office space, and more than 100,000 square feet of retail stores and restaurants.

Welcome to Union Hill’s Martini Corner.

Curious about all the ruckus at the corner of 31st and Gillham? Bottle Rocket is the latest concept added to the collection of great night spots located on the martini corner in midtown Kansas City. Clockwork has been retained to develop an energetic lounge with a one of a kind bar and delicious vip booths. The owners come from another favorite Kansas City eatery and lounge and are poised for great success. The bar will feature bottled spirits available nowhere else in Kansas City and the kitchen will prepare delicious treats too tempting to be mentioned here. Stay tuned for the grand opening.

How does one go about designing a workspace for the creative engine of one of the world's leading GPS companies? Step 1: Speak the same language. Clockwork's background in industrial design allowed the team of designers to communicate flawlessly. Step 2: Immersion. Clockwork designers were invited to be 'part of the family' and spent days in the existing space witnessing interactions, work flow and collecting data. Clockwork partnered closely with the industrial designers to develop a space that prepared the team for explosive growth. Embedded into this 'long view' is a multitude of creative environments with dynamic spatial considerations that support their creative culture.
